Flat panel iMacs are in short supply this week. Both MacMall
& ClubMac are out of all their bundles and only have the
base machine in stock. And only a very few of those. Even
Apple lists the high-end G4 iMac with the 17 inch screen as
a 3-5 day wait.
Everyone, except MacZone, has the CRT 600 MHz G3 iMac in
stock. Apple says that this Classic iMac is still selling
well, probably due to its low price
Both MacMall and MacZone are offering free shipping up to
$40 on orders over $50. The catch is that to get the discount
your have to send in a mail-in rebate. We think that stinks,
but the merchants know that though rebates sound good to the
consumer many customers will never get around to sending in
the rebate material.
